Our One Book, One School is off to a great start!

Last week we had clues each day for students to try and guess.

Today we announced our book, The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies.

Below is the link to our very own site for an interactive view of the book.

April CMAS Testing:

The tests provide a yardstick for educators to evaluate the performance of students and schools, measuring it against state and national standards.  These tests can provide you and your child's teacher with insight into their progress, helping you identify areas for improvement. Standardized assessments also help schools and districts decide where they need to focus more attention. At home you play an important part in your students’ success.  There are several ways you can help your student be successful during this year's CMAS test.  Here are a few suggestions:

· Make sure your student gets a good night's sleep the entire week.

· Have your student eat a healthy breakfast at home or in our cafeteria

· Have your student bring a water bottle

· Make sure your student arrives at school on time no later than 8:55 am

·Encourage your student to do their best

Finally, remember that standardized tests and grading systems are not perfect; each format has its own limitations.  As we help your child do their best, we will also remind them that testing is just part of education.

Below is the testing schedule.
